16 p. ; 23 cm. (4to) Attributed to Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga by Carlos Roxo in his "Historia crítica de la literatura uruguaya, published in Montevideo in 1912, and by Estrada. In the "Guía de Archivo de la Colección" authored by Delmira Agustini on the website of the Biblioteca Nacional de Uruguay, it states that the idea to found a public library was generated by Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga and presented to the Cabildo and governor on August 4, 1815. These documents are housed in the archives of the national Library The first public library in Uruguay was founded by Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga in 1815.
